Transitional Jobs Program

The NC MedAssist Transitional Jobs Program (TJP) is a work-based learning opportunity for individuals who are experiencing long-term unemployment and/or barriers to employment. The partnership between NC MedAssist and its organizational partners was created to help expose individuals to career possibilities and opportunities.

The program is intended to help increase the social, business and customer service skills of its participants. Employees in the program gain real world work experience through targeted training with supportive supervision. Participation/employment is a 4-month experience which they receive at least three documented evaluations that may help as they continue toward employment stability.

To ensure success with every associate, our goals are:

  • To help develop positive work habits.
  • To teach job readiness skills needed to obtain and maintain employment.
  • To develop life skills and prepare for successful employment.
