NC MedAssist Board of Directors Application Process

Thank you for your interest in joining the NC MedAssist Board of Directors.  The mission of NC MedAssist is to dispense opportunities for improved health and we are actively seeking those community and corporate leaders who can help us achieve our mission.  We believe the donation of time, talent and treasure from board members is necessary to efficiently advance our mission and to create the investment in NC MedAssist that we need and value. Much as societal needs change and evolve, so do our internal requirements for Board members. Please know that we value your interest in becoming a Board member, understanding that it is necessary that our mutual needs align.

NC MedAssist uses an application process to identify and recruit board members.  This ensures clarity of expectations from NC MedAssist to prospective Board members and also provides an opportunity for the prospective Board member to more fully reflect on if joining the Board is right for the prospect at this time.

This information will be shared with the recruitment committee, reviewed, and the prospective member notified of our determination.

Board of Directors Posting

NC MedAssist is committed to a diverse, inclusive, and equitable environment where all board members, staff, volunteers and program participants feel respected and valued regardless of gender, age, race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation or identity, disability, education, or any other bias.

According to the CDC, health equity is the state in which everyone has a fair and just opportunity to attain their highest level of health.  Achieving health equity requires valuing everyone equally with focused and ongoing societal efforts to address avoidable inequalities, historical and contemporary injustices, and the elimination of health and healthcare disparities.  NC MedAssist Board Members support this belief and are seeking like-minded members.
