In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, NC MedAssist launched Project Dispensing Hope: WNC to ensure uninterrupted access to critical medications and health supplies for individuals and families across Western North Carolina.
Thanks to the support of community partners and donors, we’re helping our neighbors recover by providing free prescription medications, over-the-counter relief, and personalized pharmacy services to those impacted by the storm.
Since launching, Project Delivering Hope: WNC has distributed thousands of medication care packages and hosted dozens of outreach events, directly serving families and individuals throughout the region. The program continues to meet urgent health needs in vulnerable communities, ensuring equitable access to essential medications and supporting long-term recovery across Western North Carolina.

Bulk orders of over-the-counter (OTC) medications for community distribution
Customized medication kits based on community need
Support for outreach events, including mobile pharmacy support
