Atrium Health to Present NC MedAssist 2023 Executive Luncheon

Charlotte, NC | March 13, 2023 – Hundreds of health, community and corporate leaders throughout North Carolina will gather for NC MedAssist’s (NCMA) eighth annual executive luncheon on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm, either virtually or at the Charlotte Convention Center | 501 S. College St. | Charlotte | NC | 28202.

This signature event, to be presented by Atrium Health for the third year in a row, assists in funding NCMA’s critical mission of providing access to lifesaving prescription medications, patient support, advocacy, and related services to under-resourced and uninsured North Carolina residents, and bringing impactful leadership together to hear the latest information on North Carolina health issues. This year, NCMA hopes to raise $250,000 through sponsorships and individual donations, with all proceeds applied directly toward advancing its programs. For every $200 raised, they are able to support one patient for one year. Imagine the impact if everyone sponsored one patient. Imagine if everyone sponsored five.

NC MedAssist, founded in 1997 and the only statewide non-profit pharmacy in North Carolina, offers four programs to improve the health and well-being of children and adults: The Free Pharmacy Program (for prescription medication), the Mobile Free Pharmacy Program (for over-the-counter medicine), the OTC Free Store (for over-the-counter medicine and durable medical supplies), and the Transitional Jobs Program (for individuals with barriers to employment). Last year, NC MedAssist distributed $64.9 million worth of prescription and over-the-counter medicine to NC residents across the state, serving a total of 68,201 patients.
