What type of medicine is given away?
The type of medicine we receive varies. Typical items include: Band-Aids, vitamins, pain relief, allergy medicine and children’s cough syrup.
Where does the OTC medicine come from?
Through a partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, NC MedAssist receives monthly shipments of over the counter medicine that is sorted and disbursed to adults and families who are less fortunate.
Is the OTC medicine free?
How can families receive the medicine?
During “Giveaway Days.” OTC Medicine is disbursed every third Friday of each month, unless there is a major holiday.
